Our Vardo The Hanging Pendant likes to see uniqueness in people, places, and things. We rarely make the same piece twice and if it might look similar, look closely, it is still different. Our jewelry is one of a kind. When we wanted something different than 'just a tent' we got together with our uncle and together we came up with the idea to build a seller's style gypsy wagon. We haven't regretted out decision. Through trial and error, Walt, our uncle took a utility trailer and turned it into a beautiful and unique 'display box'. We will follow with photos and a few comments soon so you can see all the hard work that went into this beautiful creation.
I love our Vardo! It's beautiful and eye catching. At a showing once, a sweet lady told me she saw it on the road that morning and was sure she knew where I was going. Each panel is inlaid with redwood. The front of each display has several cuts of wood. Walt, the designer and mastermind behind our Vardo, chose some lovely wenge, redwood, red oak, cedar, pine, whitewood-fir, cocobolo and purple heart. We have a great display window in the front over the tongue, that I like to fill with various rocks, topped with a lovely stained glass window. The window really catches the sunlight at shows and all but glows in the night when the inside lights are on. Guarding our large display "Box" is a sweet hand carved Gargoyle with a Heart of Compassion (click on the picture for more info) around his neck. For large windows on each side with eight display cases and four hanging bars for some of our necklaces. It even has a radio so we can listen to some great tunes.
